Beasts of Beauty Cover Reveal

Beasts of Beauty will be here soon, and I’m so excited to share this book with you all! If you’re on my newsletter list, you’ve already seen the cover, but I haven’t talked about it in depth. So here it is!

All the credit for this fantastic cover goes to my cover designer, Karri Klawiter at ArtbyKarri.com. I just love what she did for Beasts of Beauty!

In case you aren’t familiar with the series, Beasts of Beauty is the third book in my Bewitching Fairy Tales series, which is a series of high-fantasy, young adult fairy tale retellings. Stalks of Gold, Rumpelstiltskin/Rapunzel, and Mirrors of Ice, Snow White/The Snow Queen, precede it. Beasts of Beauty is a gender-swapped version of Beauty and the Beast combined with Little Red Riding Hood.

The cover, like the other features our leading lady… leading beast, Aerona. Aerona’s got two main forms, a wolfish one and a humanlike one, both pretty beastly. But there are two things she has in both forms, red eyes and a red streak in her hair or fur. She really captured Aerona’s harsh, strong bearing. And while I love pretty dresses on covers, Aerona has little use for dresses and spends most of her time in the outfit on the cover. Black, fur-lined, utilitarian clothes perfect for winter. The red cloak she’s wearing is actually Chasen’s, or rather Chasen’s family’s. But if you want to know more about the enchanted cloak, you’ll have to read the book.

There’s also the roses in the bottom right. Roses play a huge role in the story, but I’ll refrain from saying more and let you discover what that is for yourself.

Aerona is standing in the forest and you can see the manor in the distance behind her, which is so cool. The red cloak sells the Little Red Riding Hood aspect of it, but the title and the background sell the Beauty and the Beast aspect, which is very exciting. I just love the feeling I get looking at it, and the closer we get to release, the more excited I get!

But to find out the mystery of Aerona, the cloak, and the roses, you’ll have to read Beasts of Beauty to find out! I’ll see you all next time!
