The Scholar is widely known to be the most powerful man on the continent. While Emperor Eurico might object, everyone else knows the truth. He’s lived a long life, constantly growing his power and understanding of magic.

In his youth, he was a close associate of the witch, Gothel, pursuing the identity of the Red Enchanter, an enchanter who, like the Scholar, passes down the title in order to preserve their lineage. Little is known about his life before he assumed the mantle. Ten years after assisting in the invasion of Faen, the Scholar had a falling out with Emperor Eurico for reasons unknown and took a seat of King Mathias’ council. After King Mathias’ death and ensuing events, he returned to Esmea and resumed his alliance with Emperor Eurico.

Thanks to some enchanted mirrors he knows the rumors are true. The Beast is living in Encana Forest. A huntsman owes him a favor.
