That was all that mattered, but her brothers certainly didn’t make it easy for her. Eadric’s greed was unmatched by even the most unstoppable force of nature, and if something wasn’t done about Astren’s mounting debt, would their country even survive? Sandor was of no help either. He didn’t think of Astren as his responsibility no matter how much Loraine tried to teach him and train him over the years otherwise.

Loraine would just have to handle it herself, like always. She would do whatever she had to do in order to protect Astren, always.
